She wa on the program of the Na tional Catechetical Congress held in Chicago last November, and recently served as moderator the NBC Christian In Action network programs. She is a member of the Archdiocesan Coordinating committee of Lay Activi ties ; of the Council of Catholic Wom en : of St. Anselm's Parish Council, and of the Legion of Mary. The wife of a dentist and the mother of two daughters, Mrs. Clem is inter ested in little theatre work, music, and sports, and she is commissioner of fencing for women in the Los Angeles Athletic club. A member of the Championship Pa cific Coast Women's Open fencing team, she holds several Pacific Coast and Southern California titles. C Not in the Books. The Wheel of Fortune Favored Junior Drama major Marjorie Prendergast when she was chosen the top orator of the Illi nois area in a contest at City Hall, April 24. Entered in the Hearst Newspaper Tournament of Orators, Miss Prender gast, talking on Henry Clay, emerged victorious in the area finals, and will represent the area in the regional fin als in Pittsburgh, May 14. The runners-up were Sabato John Insalata from the University of Illi nois and Lloyd Bitzer from Southern Illinois university. C Not in the Books. On This Day, O Beautiful Mother May 1. students will gather in Loyo la's Madonna Delia Strada for the annual Mary's Hour. Sodality Prefect Joan Cahill is as sisting in arrangements for the Holy Hour, which opens at 12 o'clock, and concludes with Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament at 1 p.m. Annually, Catholic students in the city sponsor a Mary's Day early in the month of May to make reparation for the Communist May Day celebrations. C Not in the Books. Undecided, First You Say You Do, Then you don't know which man to choose for President. Well, the Political Science classes are on hand to help you decide. ' On May 1 in the gymnasium they will sponsor a Mock Republocratic convention, with the entire college par ticipating in the nomination of a can didate for President of the United States. If you would like to be a delegate from Illinois or from any other State in the Union or from Cuba or the Virgin Islands or Hawaii or Alaska give your name to one of the committee members. A brimming cup of song, a spoonful or two of laughs, a dash of romance, and a pinch of dance, sprinkled gen erously with vivid color, and mixed by the talented hands of the Drama de partment, the Music department, and the Composer, Miss Llewellyn, Not In The Books serves up a tempting first for the Mundelein stage. Set on a women's college campus adjacent to a men's college campus, the play concerns student life, campus politics, the charm of the eternal fem inine, and assorted sense and non sense. Chosen from the entire student body, the cast includes Miss Llewellyn and Rita Frische alternating in the femin ine lead, with Rosemary Rapp and Barbara Schmitt alternating in the role of a non-romantic collegian who has no desire for things other than study. Marjorie Prendergast and Geraldine O'Keefe take the role of Miss Klipp, an ex-service-woman who has returned to college. Jeannine Campbell and Mary Ann Piskosz play the part of Elsie, a ballet-conscious young dancer who re fuses to be graduated. These bring out the lighter side of the story. The show also finds Loretta Gibbons and Joan Cahill as, Dolores, a campus politician who is campaigning for the office of SAC president. Others in the cast include Bettemae Callan and Mary Lou Hirsch as Bar bara: Jacqueline Coniiaughton and Flor ence Granet as Jane: Peggy Mor an and Laura Berganin in the role of Patricia.
