January 8 At assembly we had the good fortune to hear a delightful address by the Reverend W. F. Robison, S.J. a new friend, to many of us at least, who seemed like an old one immediately. January 12 In rich, musical German, Frau Bertel-Bihler entertains Die Rothensteiner Gesell- schaft with a program of German readings. Auf wiedersehen January 21 We hear that the Chemistry Club again entertained its members with a very interesting program, enlivened by realistic colored slides. January 25 The first Greek letter society is January 30 The first issue of the Skyscraper, established in our college, and makes its bow to our college newspaper, was hailed with great joy. the public under the intriguing name, Eta Phi Alpha. January 27 The answers to college student queries are presented, en masse, red covered, complete to the last detail, in the Student's Handbook, issued today. January 30 We whole-heartedly describe the first public recital of the year, in which the college orchestra, too, made its initial appearance, as a great success. January 10 A pleasant surprise awaited us in this issue of America, in which an article entitled Ivy and Rectangles, by the Reverend Edward D. Reynolds, S.J., compared the University of Chicago with our own Mundelein College. January 22 Will-gymnastics. Sounds interesting, doesn't it? According to Father Cunningham, S.J., they not only sound good, but are calculated to make the good better. Seems as if it might be worth trying. m The Tower i January 27 Exams at last Good times are past. The flunk-dragon's near; We quake with fear. January 30 The Home Economics Club sponsored a Silver Tea. Doesn't it sound lovely? But we heard it means coffee and cakes. And the silver? Well, the silver comes into the cash drawer. f 19 3 1
