Tina Stretch, who helped or ganize the committee, emphasized that the new committee is not an extension of the defunct religious affairs committee; instead, it arose out of everyone's dissatis faction with the religious affairs committee. Deny Consensus Denying that a consensus on the purpose and functions of a Catho lic college exists among the student body, Tina said that the committee intends to set a basis for such a consensus. To that end, it will ar range debates on a Speak-Easy for mat between speakers and faculty both within and outside the Col lege. Whether the ensuing defini tion of a Catholic college spurs pro or con reaction is immaterial, she stressed. At the same time,
