Senior officers Nancy Enzweiler, Helen Maloney, and Joan Templeman are ar ranging a group reading of the Gospel of St. John in which all club members will take part. The story division of the program, under the heading Christmas Customs in Many Lands, is the result of plans made by Frances Kelly, Patricia Carroll, Shirley Irwin, Cecily Donoghue, Mary Alice Sullivan, and Ann Carroll. In accordance with 12-year-old tradi tion, Miriam L. Rooney, Ph.D., a charter member of the Round Table, will read James M. Liston's His Christmas Gift. Christmas carols and the reading of The Magnificat will close the Round Table's 1945 program. Red Cross Unit Sponsors Discussion At Qreat Lakes Five seemed to be the password at Great Lakes last week when five envoys from Mundelein presented a panel dis cussion, analyzing the five-year plans of Russia, in the light of the theories of Carl Marx. The central theme of the discussion centered in the question of whether or not Russia is moving away from the eco nomic theory of Communism by utilizing the famous plans. Under the chairmanship of Janet Sprickman, chairman of the College Red Cross unit which sponsored the discussion, with Mary O'Malley, Marion King, Ritz Stalzer, and Mary Agnes O'Grady as assistants, the discussion became general when the servicemen at Great Lakes presented their views. The group will return for a discussion of China, shortly after the Christmas holidays. W/HITE Christmas trees trimmed with blue lights, sleighs with tinkling bells, snow that glistens in the moonlight, stockings that hang from the mantel, and dates for the Skyscraper Ball are the thoughts that trickle through our minds as we anticipate the Christmas Holidays. 1 IKE music to her ears was the ap plause Gloria Maloney, junior, heard outside her door when she finished prac ticing Chopin's Polonaise the other evening. A dozen neighbors, invited in after their spontaneous applause, stayed to hear it again. I II) you know that freshman Mary Margaret Biehle's local address is Locker 298, Mundelein College, and that her home address is Oak Park? A SK any Jeannic in the Home Dec oration class about her lamp and she'll tell you she made it Rubbing the lamp won't bring any magical results, except to polish it, but you'll agree Jeannie is a genius, not a genii, if you go to Room 408 and see the display of 25 handmade electric lamps, each one novel and practical.
