Before the dance, the Seniors and their escorts will enjoy a Candle light Dinner at the country club at 7:15 p.m. Universities Ask Faculty To Teach On Summer Staffs The compatibility of something old and something new will be demonstrated by Sister Mary Don ald. B.V.M.. Dean of Studies and chairman of the Classics depart ment, this summer, when she in structs teachers in the art of ap plying modern methods to the teaching of classical I-atin. Recommended by Doctor Waldo Sweet at the Univer sity of Michigan where she held a Carnegie grant for a summer workshop in Linguis tics in 1953, Sister has been in vited to teach in the summer session at Loyola university, Los Angeles. Sister holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Illinois. For the seventh consecutive sum mer. Sister Mary Pierre, chairman (if the Home Economics depart ment, will teach in the graduate- school of St. Louis university. Sister will also be on the Home Economics Educational Confer ence staff from June 11 to 19. Sister Marv Marguerite Chris tine, of the Chemistry department, is one of 15 Sisters invited to par ticipate in a three-month curricu lum workshop at Everett, Wash ington. Each national participant has been selected for outstand ing work in a particular aca demic area. Sister's area is General Science, in which she holds a doctorate from St. Louis university.
