Quanta Club Will Entertain Faculty and alumnae of the Physics depart ment at its annual Christmastide party, at 7 p.m., Dec. 30. Chairmen of the Refreshment committee are Barbara Moran and Arlene Halko, while the Invitation committee is headed by Nancy Fer rigan and Mary Kay Kelly. Marjorie Boyd '49, a Ph.D. can didate in Physics at the Catholic University of America, will be among the guests. The New Water Color Exhibit On Fifth Floor consists of paintings by Myrle Kelly. American artist. It is one of 10 exhibits sent on tour from the Studio Guild Art cen ter in Redding, Connecticut. Paint ings were done in the Rocky Moun tain area. Art club members viewed a film entitled Modernism in Art at their Dec. 7 meeting. Techniques and methods in the paintings of Salva dor Dali, John Martin, Max Weber, and Stuart Davis, shown in the film, were discussed afterwards by club members. Skyscrapings . . . Sister Mary Martine, of the Speech department, and Sister Mary Benedict, chairman of the Educa- tion-Phychology department, re presented Mundelein at a meeting of member schools in the Cooper ative Study for Catholic Women's colleges. Sister Mary Benedict is a na tional coordinator of the study, whose chairman, secretary, treas urer, national and regional coor dinators represent 12 Catholic col leges for women.
