Annamarie Masterson '38, editor-in- chief of the Skyscraper last year, is winner in a national editorial contest sponsored by the Catholic School Press Association. Miss Eileen Scanlon, physical edu cation director, traveled around the world this summer, giving swimming demonstrations in eight countries. The picture was taken by a Japanese news photographer in Tokio. Georgette Thoss operates the recording machine while M. Henri Gheon, French dramatist who lectured here this summer, makes a record of readings from his plays. The college has given the American premiere performances of three of Gheon's plays, The Marvellous Adventure of Bernard de Menthon, in 1932; The Comedian, in 1935; and The Three Miracles of St. Cecilia, in May, 1938. The latter play was translated by Elenor Loarie ex '38. Nine of the 13 sister sets on the campus are Ann and Catherine Wilkins, Katherine and Angela Kospetos, Eileen and Mildred Mahoney, Mary Jane and Audrey Flues, Margaret and Mary Ellen Groark, Mary Elizabeth and Frances McGuire, Frances and Marie Kane, Loretta and Ruth Klodzinski, Mildred and Helen Murphy.
